Namespace ProtoTest.Devices.Tcp

Classes

TcpDeviceAddress

Parses and formats the tcp://host:port addresses both TCP transports use.

TcpDeviceBuilderExtensions

Registers device clients that talk TCP, connecting out or listening for the system under test.

TcpDeviceOptions

How the TCP transports connect, listen and read. Code sets defaults through the client registration (AddTcpClient(..., configure) or AddTcpListener(..., configure)); ProtoTest:Devices:Tcp overrides them per environment. One set applies to the whole run.

TcpDeviceTransport

Connects devices out over a raw TCP socket: the device under the test dials the system under test, a gateway or a simulator at tcp://host:port. The client's framer cuts the stream into frames; a client without one reads newline-terminated text.

TcpListenerDeviceTransport

Listens for the system under test to connect to the device: the test opens a port, hands the address to the application, and the first send or receive waits for the inbound connection. Each device gets its own listener, so parallel tests never share a port.
